How much is catering in Dubai?
From AED 70 a guest for a buffet, AED 90 for BBQ, AED 120 for canapés and AED 250 for a plated dinner. Live stations add from AED 25 a guest, and waiters cost from AED 70 an hour with a four hour minimum.
What is the cheapest option for catering?
A drop off buffet: delivered hot, set on your table, served by you. It removes the staff lines. For more than 40 guests, one or two waiters usually pay for themselves in clearing and timing.
Is 300 AED enough for food in Dubai?
For an event, AED 300 a guest buys a plated dinner or a generous canapé evening with a live station. A buffet starts from AED 70 a guest, so the same budget can also cover staff and a mocktail bar.

Do you need a permit to serve food at an event in Dubai?
Yes. Food served at an event needs the Dubai Municipality permit for food activity at events, filed at least three working days before. We file it with the menu; hotels and licensed venues cover their own kitchens.
