Dubai Racing Carnival opens at Meydan on 6 November: the raceday brief for brands and private suites

Quick answer
Dates, tickets, hospitality, photography
The Dubai Racing Carnival opens at Meydan Racecourse on Friday 6 November 2026 and runs to 12 March 2027, ahead of the 31st Dubai World Cup on 27 March, according to the Dubai Racing Club calendar reported by Gulf Today.
General admission starts at AED 10 (about $3), the Paddock Garden at AED 75 (about $20) and hospitality packages at AED 345 (about $94), according to Khaleej Times. The track’s hotel was the first in the world built into a racing grandstand.
Cover Page Agency photographs racedays from AED 2,500 (about $681) for up to four hours and staffs private suites with hostesses from AED 120 (about $33) an hour.
Meydan opens its season on Friday with 17 meetings ahead, as brands and families book suites for the nights the city dresses up
A raceday is less about the racing than about the room: where guests arrive, who looks after them and who captures it for the brand.
Who you meet at Meydan. The carnival draws owners, trainers and the guests they bring, and in our experience it is one of the easiest places in Dubai to meet people who invest in racing as a leisure. Ownership is open well beyond the big stables: first time owners buy horses through syndicates, one of them made up of ten families, according to Zawya, and trainers report a steady flow of new owners from the Racing in Dubai sales, Thoroughbred Racing notes.
Horses change hands quickly as well. Sale graduates must prove themselves within a couple of seasons and are often sold on, the same report shows, so the circle around each runner keeps moving. With a meeting most Fridays through the winter, the faces in the Parade Ring change from one week to the next.
A venue run like a stadium. The grandstand holds over 60,000 people, according to the Emirates Racing Authority, and carnival attendance has grown by 400 to 700% since 2021 after hospitality and private suites were upgraded, the Dubai Racing Club told Khaleej Times. In our experience the staff are calm and welcoming, parking and arrivals are handled with event scale planning, and a private suite with catering is the most comfortable way to spend a raceday.
Many guests stay long after the last race. World Cup night has closed with after race concerts by international headliners, TPMEA reports, and on carnival nights the lounges keep a DJ playing, in our experience, which holds the crowd well into the evening.
Why it matters now: the suites, lounges and brunches that frame each meeting are sold through the season, and in our experience the named nights fill first. For a brand or a host, the opening Friday sets the calendar.
This guide covers the dates, the hospitality on offer and what it takes to photograph and staff a raceday, with the prices we quote.

The season at Meydan: 6 November to 27 March
The Dubai Racing Club fixed the calendar in June, according to Gulf Today.
Three nights carry names: Festive Friday before Christmas, Fashion Friday in January and Emirates Super Saturday a month before the final; the exact dates sit in the key facts table. The Dubai World Cup closes the season, with US$30.5m in total prize money and US$12m for the title race.
The detail most guides leave out. The Meydan Hotel was the first hotel in the world built into a horse racing grandstand, according to The National, and the Emirates Racing Authority calls it the world’s first five star trackside hotel. The grandstand building runs about 1.6km, so arrivals, suites and the finish line can be a long walk apart.
The track stands on the site of Nad Al Sheba, where the World Cup began, and the race is again the world’s richest, Wikipedia records. Our tip: if a client asks for one night only, in our experience it is usually Fashion Friday, so ask for that date first.
Hospitality at the track: from AED 10 to private suites
Entry is cheap by design. General admission starts at AED 10 (about $3), the Paddock Garden at AED 75 (about $20) and hospitality packages at AED 345 (about $94), sold by the Dubai Racing Club, according to Khaleej Times.
Three new venues join this season: Bisou, Alba and Himitsu. Silks, run with The Meydan Hotel on the third floor of the Grandstand, offers a five hour buffet with reserved seats facing the track and the Parade Ring, the paper reported.
The Parade Ring Lounge and the Finish Line Brunch return, season memberships sit in the Horsemen’s Lounge on level one, and private suites are offered for client entertaining and corporate events. Khaleej Times did not publish suite prices; Meydan quotes them on request.
The dress code applies at every gate: smart attire or national dress, no shorts, sportswear or flip flops, and hats encouraged, according to the Dubai Racing Club, which also runs a Kids’ Zone for ages 3 to 12 and arranges helicopter arrivals. Hosts are responsible for how their guests dress, Harper’s Bazaar Arabia notes.

Photographing a raceday: what a brand takes home
A raceday gives a brand three scenes: arrivals and outfits in daylight, the Parade Ring and the races, and the suite after sunset. Light changes fast in between, so the order matters more than the camera.
The audience is real: the official Dubai World Cup broadcast has passed 480,000 views, according to YouTube’s counter. Fashion is half of that story. A millinery exhibition in Concourse 3 lets guests try on hats, Khaleej Times reported, and the Style Stakes judges Best Dressed Lady, Man, Couple and Hat on originality and detail, according to Arabian Business.
On our photo and video page, event photography starts at AED 2,500 (about $681) for up to four hours with 100 edited photos, a first selection the same day and the full set the next day. Video starts at AED 3,900 (about $1,062) and photo plus video at AED 6,500 (about $1,770).
Reels follow within three to seven days, and same day edits are available on request. A deposit of half holds the date. Our tip: book the photographer for the hour before the first race, when guests arrive and the light is still soft.
Staffing a suite: hostesses, waiters and a team leader
A suite works like a small venue for one evening: guests arrive in waves, the races set the rhythm and the door sets the tone.
Hostesses from Cover Page Agency start at AED 120 (about $33) an hour, briefed and in uniform, with a team leader from five hostesses, according to our hostess page. On our staffing page, waiters start at AED 70 (about $19) an hour and bartenders at AED 100 (about $27), each with a four hour minimum, and our private party page lists catering from AED 70 a guest and a DJ with sound for the after party.
Hijab is available on request and male hosts take the same roles. Our tip: put the photographer, the DJ and the staff in one quote, so arrivals, service and the after party run to one timetable.
Which nights to book first
Opening night, Festive Friday, Fashion Friday, Super Saturday and World Cup night are the dates hosts ask for first, in our experience, because the city plans its own evenings around them. Many racegoers come for the atmosphere and the food rather than the races, Khaleej Times found, which is exactly what a suite sells.
Fix the date and the guest count first, then the crew. Send them on WhatsApp and the quote comes back within an hour, in time for a Friday that is already on the calendar.
