The 2027 calendar

Three dates anchor the season. The Dubai Shopping Festival runs from 4 December 2026 to 17 January 2027, so retail and hospitality campaigns open the year at full speed.

Gulfood 2027 follows from 15 to 19 March 2027, across Dubai World Trade Centre and Dubai Exhibition Centre at Expo City. The Dubai Airshow closes the year from 15 to 19 November 2027 at Dubai World Central.

Before all three, GITEX Global moves to its new home at Dubai Exhibition Centre from 8 to 11 December 2026. Stands, hosts, content and dinners for these weeks are booked months ahead.

Business events already booked

Demand for 2027 is not a guess. Dubai Business Events reported 747 bids and 504 wins for congresses and meetings scheduled through 2029.

Big names are already committed. Google will hold two flagship conferences in Dubai, in 2026 and 2028, with 4,000 delegates each year.

Venue capacity grows with it. The expanded Dubai Exhibition Centre is built to host up to 20 events at once, in a project valued at Dh10 billion.

Rooms and visitors

Dubai closed 2025 with 19.59 million international overnight visitors, up 5 percent, and 154,264 hotel rooms across 827 establishments.

2026 has been softer while flights to the region were reduced. Recovery is under way: 869,000 visitors came in August, with hotel occupancy at 66 percent.

Supply keeps rising. About 39 hotels with around 9,520 rooms are due between 2026 and 2029. More rooms means more openings, launches and events to fill them.

D33 and the SME push

The Dubai Economic Agenda D33 is the plan behind most of these moves. It sets 100 transformational projects and a scale up programme for 400 high potential SMEs.

Dubai SME aims to help launch 8,000 new businesses by 2033. For an events or hospitality firm, each one is a future client with a launch, an opening or a team day to plan.

Lower costs for small firms

The Ministry of Finance extended small business relief to tax periods ending on or before 31 December 2029, for businesses with annual revenue up to AED 3 million.

Membership pays too. Dubai Chambers and Emirates offer members a 2,000 point welcome bonus on Emirates Business Rewards, useful for teams that fly to fairs.

Digital support is growing fast. The Dubai Chamber of Digital Economy backed 1,690 digital startups in 2025, up 39.7 percent on 2024.

A home for creative talent

The golden visa gives long term residence of 5 or 10 years, with creatives in culture and the arts among the eligible talents. GDRFA Dubai lists the talent permit at 10 years, renewable.

Creative tools are arriving with it. Canva is setting up its regional headquarters in Dubai to support 250,000 SMEs and individuals, after more than 54 million designs were made on Canva in the UAE in 2025.

The Dubai Content Creators Programme adds 40 hours of workshops in its third phase. A deeper pool of creators makes brand content faster to produce.

How brands can use it

Book early for the peaks. March and November 2027 will fill hotels, crews and stands first. A brief sent in the autumn before secures the team you want.

Build content once and use it all year. A shoot around a fair or a launch can feed social, ads and the website for months.
